early morning woke up and meet the rest at the hotel restuarant for breakfast... then head to taipei main station... guess we were too early... mitsukoshi dept store open at 11am... the main purpose we went there is to change our sgd to nt... all becos of dear's fault... ask him to change in singapore.. he dun wan.. keep insisting that the rate in taiwan will be higher.. who knows.. the rate in taiwan only 20.8 nia... if change in singapore, the highest is 21.7 lor... angry leh...

after everyone has changed their money, we walk walk ard... nth much.. all expensive stuff... feeling almost like in singapore's metro or seiyu... one difference is that taiwan has more varieties... more things to see compared to singapore...

k mall... the mall beside mitsukoshi... like a mini sim lim... sell mostly computer stuffs.. dear was kinda fascinated.. keep taking brochures... peiyuan told dear that there is another place that sells alot of computer stuff.. dear of cos wont miss it de...

me, dear and weilin (dear's sis) went separate ways with 大姐 and dear's mum... they went CKS Memorial Hall and we went to 中孝新生... 中孝新生 is really taiwan version of sim lim lor... the whole street sells laptops... wow... really competitive sia... I think we spent quite a few hours in 中孝新生 alone... dear took back lots of brochures... and keep commenting that the laptops are really cheap...

we return back to ximending to fetch dear's mum in the evening... previously heard from 大姐 that dear's mum dun feel well and she went back to the hotel to rest... we also rested our legs a while and went to shih lin night market by cab...

expected... this place is full of pple... super lively lor... had our dinner at one of the indoor "cafe" look-alike... hot plate noodles with steak, chicken or pork... shiok sia... the price cheap also...

after a full dinner, we (or maybe me) start my hunting... went in to one shop that sells only clothes... be it for gals or guys... can take your time to see.. dear's mum went back with ah tin auntie and weilin after like 20 min in the shop... -.-.. wasted lor...

dear and me continued our shopping in other parts of shih lin also... surprisely...dear bought more things than me... haha.. probably I haven seen anything that catches my attn ba...

we stayed in shih lin quite long... I only remember that by the time we reached hotel... its abt 1am plus... super shag sia... my legs so tired... but its fun ^^

had our vegetarian breakfast... 黄妈妈, the owner, really a nice person... cook so much food for dinner the night before and for breakfast also the same... breakfast is lychee+sweet potato porridge with 4-5 other dishes... really 丰富 sia... and they grow those vegetables and lychees themselves can.. power... I asked 二姐 whether 黄妈妈 purposely cooked so much for us, and 二姐 say this is their normal practice... even usually when there is only two of them, 黄妈妈 will still cook alot of food... I wonder what will happen to the food if they cant finish it...


at the 民宿, they sort of have a traditon.. that is to drink chinese tea after their meals... I am not a pro.. but I can say the the tea is really nice lor.. dun have the 瑟瑟 feeling.. very smooth and smell nice sia... really different from those we had in singapore... probably its becos of the water and the tea leaves? I also had a chance to taste the morning dews.. 黄妈妈 say they collected the morning dews and store them in containers.. and leave the dews there for some time.. I dont really understand the whole process, but I think probably is sth similar like making wine ba... the morning dews smell like vinegar... but taste like wine... except that the taste is much more stringer than wine... special taste...

took some shots of the 民宿 and its scenary before heading to the "places of interests"... little dao dao really cute lor.. haha... dear's mum cant join us cos she fell sick.. and she choose to stay in the 民宿 to rest.. such a waste..

碧山卢 is the name of the 民宿... and every room has a different name.. the 1st place that we went in nantou is to visit what the locals called 绿色隧道 (the green tunnel)... actually is just a normal road... but along the whole stretch... both sides of the tunnel is covered with trees... and you can see green throughout while driving... beside it, we also saw train tracks... according to 二姐，if we are lucky, we can really see train bypassing... too bad we dun have the luck... next, 集集火车站 (Jiji Train Station)... nth much here.. but can see some real size models of the train and tanks...
then, to some historic place that I cant remember the exact name... quite fascinating though.. can see real size models of the rocket and 战斗机...ok.. there is sth that I have to admit.. I dun wish to include auntie ah tin in my blog even though I have took some pictures of her... cos I simply dun like her..

921 earthquake... see how badly damaged the temple is? well, this is not man-made.. this damaged is done naturally by the 921 earthquake.. I dunno why the temple is not being repaired.. not very sure abt the story behind also.. I think 二姐's bf got tell us.. but I just cant remember.. anyway.. this temple become another place of interest in nantou... and somehow really attract quite a number of pple...

孔明庙another temple.. dont really interest me... maybe will interest those who read 三国... all I can say is that this temple is big...

日月潭 (Sun-Moon Lake)
this is my favourite place of all... this place really is heaven lor.. everything so peaceful... the air so fresh and the sea so green and clean... nth more can be asked for if I can live here... right.. I am getting tired of describing in details.. tts y can see that the description is getting shorter and shorter.. haha..

after travelling for like 1hr... we reached 清境农场... when 二姐 told us abt this place, my 1st tot will be like the one I saw in taiwan drama 星苹果乐园 leading ming dao... hehe.. but I was wrong... though called 农场, the place is not a farm at all... its a place with beautiful scenaries as well.. and guess wat... we can see alot of cottages... super nice can... and most cottages are actually 民宿 lor... the price compared to the one we are staying is like 2-3 times more expensive lor.. if I nvr seen it myself.. I wont believe that there are places like that in taiwan lor... this is too good to be true... oh taiwan... what a wonderful place.. we also visited the biggest 寺庙 in nantou (or maybe taiwan)... got took some pictures la.. but then I find it scary... cos those god statues are big which I find them intimitating... I can tell you.. the temple is really big lor.. its like bigger than TP or any other polys in Singapore lor... scary... thus, no pics...

and after a long day, we went back to the 民宿... packed our things and head off to taipei liao... everything too rush that I forgot to take picture with 黄妈妈 and the family... too bad...

we managed to buy train tickets at 7.49pm.. this is the 1st time that I took bullet train... interior is just like our mrt except that it is more spacious.. and still got toilets sia.. almost the same design as those toilets on the plane.. after a fast 30min... we finally reached taipei..

split into 2 cabs and we head off to ximending and check in to our hotel.. royal castle...

nice reception.. but kinda bad service... even though we have book the rooms in advance, the recept told us to wait cos the rooms not ready.. give us only 1 room... and all of us have to wait in the room for 45min before all the rooms are ready.. -.-''' if not becos of rainbow hotel is fully booked, we wont choose royal castle at all...
when everyone has settled down, peiyuan (dear's cousin) came down to look for us and took us to 师大夜市.. quite a disappointment.. not much things to see also.. got alot of food la.. but not to my liking...

~phew~ thats all for day 2.. will update more again.... gd nite...

decided to blog the trip day by day basis... if one short blog everything... I think pple read liao will fall aslp.. and my fingers will 抽筋 also...

our flight at 1240pm... I asked papa to drive me there... I reached airport the earliest.. abt 10am+... waited for dear and family for quite some time.. after checked in... we went mac to have our breakfast...

reached taiwan abt 5.30pm... collect our luggages and we saw 二姐 (dear's cousin) and her bf waiting at the arrival hall... and after 2 hrs of journey, we finally reached the 民宿at nantou that we will be staying... the moment I stepped in... wow.. how I wish I live in this kind of hse lor... even its quite dark, I still can see that the place is a very beautiful place... the night scene from the balcony is superb lor...
after having our vegetarian dinner and settling down, 二姐 bring us to taichung night market... compared to shih lin night market.. taichung night market really cannot make it.. not much things to see de...

I'm back... reached sg on wed night... really tired sia... and very restless to blog... total I took abt 370 pictures... gosh..

this time round, I dont really enjoy myself compared to 2 years ago... probably becos too many pple liao... and dear's mum keep falling sick.. so a little spoil mood... me told dear that this is the 1st and last time that I will travel with them liao... selfish me still prefer the two of us.. less troubling...

though dun really enjoy.. but this time went alot of places that we nvr went before the last time... like nantou alone, we already went to 8 different places... visited alot of scenary places.. really wow me sia....

taipei also went to other places other than ximending, wu fen pu etc... also managed to meet up with my taipei office colleagues... too many things to blog... will post up pics and blog abt my taiwan trip soon... like last time, after I came back from taiwan, I so missed taiwan can... the weather, the pple, the food, everything abt taiwan can make me smile... how I wish I can migrate to taiwan.. lol...

took extra one day leave on thursday to rest and unpack.. but I din.. I went amk with dear to close down our acct instead... and when friday go back back work, jocelyn is the happiest person... haha... tough on her... cover my work for almost one week... and gosh... really alot of things to do sia... anyway, thats not the main thing... the pt is... I miss Taiwan sia!!!

I went back to hey hey hot pot again... this time bring mama for her bday...

ever since I started work.. its like a "tradition" for me to treat mama on her bday...

and yeah... managed to take photo with terrence.. we seldom see mama smile when taking photo... but when she took with terrence.. she smile till so happy.. haha...

dear and sis comment say not worth it... ok la.. I kinda agree... the total bill is abt $170.. gosh.. nvr expect to be so expensive also... suan le.. probably wont go back again liao.. and I think for the past few mths I will really have to save up liao..

everyone... I've got an english name.. please call me Tiffany from now onwards... wahaha...

my sis was telling me ysday that she just give herself an english name called Trinity... cos she started poly ysday and almost everyone cant really pronounce her name (most are those ang-mo pai)... so she told her new frens to call her Trinity... I asked her why she choose this name... she said when she was working in polyclinic, she saw a lot of babies' name called Trinity.. and she find this name special... so she remembered it... and now she is "officially" known by this name in her class... haha...

I told dear and he suggested that I can call myself Tiffany... extracted from Tiffany & Co... branded name leh... lol.. lame sia..

the moment I reached home, I told my sis abt my new name.. and she laughed at me.. and we keep calling each other our new names to make ourselves familiar with it... wahaha... I also gave mcp, mum and dad their new name...

mcp: timothy (sis suggest terry at first.. but I think it would be nicer if everyone of our names can have 3 syllabus)
mum: tampines
dad: tiong bahru...

wahaha... we are the Ts family... bth..

the dinner was held at the 88 restuarant in habourfront... me, sis and mcp took train there... thot we will be late.. lucky still managed to reach there on time...

took some pictures while waiting for the dinner to start.. the cameraman ask me to back him up as his shutter and flash got prob.. lol... 1st time encounter this... this shows my olympus did not let me down.. wahaha..

I follow the cameraman to take 1st march-in and 2nd march-in photos and some group shots... haha.. machiam really pro sia.. some cousins and my sis make fun of me.. say I am the cameraman's assistant.. and whenever he walk past.. my sis keep saying "姐，你的老板来了"... bth sia..

kinda fun eh... but the cameraman didnt really teach me anything leh.. I just follow him to catch the angle nia.. haha..

early in the morning, my voice haven wake up sia.. haha.. when I speak is 沙沙 de.. and my face.. overnight got alot of pimples breakout.. and all are big big ones... sianz...

by the time reach my cousin hse at 6.30am.. she has done her make up liao.. and slowly, her frens reach and they start to prepare those tekan things... haha.. they prepared the taste of life for the groom.. 酸甜苦辣咸...

I think abt 7.30am like that, the groom and the brothers reach... from the house we can hear them horning liao.. of cos it wont be easy for them.. me din do much except for being the video-woman.. haha... everything quite fun eh... tekan-ing was done.. think the groom 人缘 very good sia.. cos he bring along abt 20 brothers.. really 热闹 leh...

when we went down.. we saw 17 subarus one after another.. wow.. the view is magnificent lor.. very "sak ki" leh.. and the sound of the subaru is really good lor.. haha.. though I dunno much abt cars la.. but really interesting sia..

me and sis just follow them along to the groom's parents' hse and then to their new hse.. and while on the road.. can really see so many subarus travelling together.. everyone try to stick closely together.. and in every subaru, there is one walkie-talkie... and all the drivers communicate with each other thru the walkie-talkie... cool sia... though at first me and sis feel like we are in the cab la.. haha..

too bad my olympus dun really have very wide screen.. if not can take pic of those subarus liao.. lol...

ok.. I shall stop here... cos I am tired.. and I have only less than 2 hrs to rest... dun wan to turn up as panda at the dinner...
